Barrel aged, Matsu’s El Viejo boasts a deep cherry colour with violet coloured notes around the rim. Full bodied, it has an intense nose of ripe black fruit and toasted, spiced and smoked notes with mature and round tannins that give it a very pleasing sweetness. In the long and persistent finish is ripe black fruit perfectly balanced with the character of French oak.
